Made in India? Or Just Made You All Fools — Courtesy Big Bang Boom Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

A follow-up to the exposé Bombshell: Is Big Bang Boom Solutions Selling Imported Chinese Tech as Made in India?

Introduction

In May 2025, our investigative exposé revealed that Big Bang Boom Solutions (BBBS), a Chennai-based defense startup, was selling imported Chinese anti-drone technology while passing it off as Made in India. In response, BBBS launched a social media and PR blitz showcasing supposed operational success during Operation Sindoor.

However, behind the smoke and mirrors lies a disturbing web of deception, foreign procurement, backdoor lobbying, and a deeply compromised acquisition process.

1. Promoting the Chinese Vajra Shot: A Blatant Admission?

A video aired on India Today shows an Indian Army officer holding BBBS’s so-called “Vajra Shot” jammer gun. However, that weapon is not indigenous — it is manufactured by Novasky Technology Co., Ltd, a Chinese company (evidence presented below, please read on).

The questions this raises:

  • Does the Indian Army officially acknowledge and endorse this video and product?
  • If yes, does the Army also acknowledge that a Chinese jammer was used in wartime on the border?
  • If no, then why was BBBS operating in a combat zone with unapproved, imported hardware?
  • What was the army officer doing that with that Chinese jammer if he was not authorized by his higher officials?
  • Were other Indian defense companies deliberately excluded from consideration? Why this promotion video for just one defense company?
  • Finally: how come no other media channels made a video of this army officer proclaiming the use of this handheld jammer, except for India Today? What is the relationship between the news anchor and Mr. Gaurav Sharma from Big Bang Boom?

This smells less like innovation and more like a marketing stunt disguised as military contribution during wartimes.

2. Indigenous Claims vs. Paper Trail: The SkyCope Scandal

To deflect criticism, BBBS claimed their “Vajra Sentinel” is fully indigenous. However, hard evidence contradicts this:

SWIFT payment dated 13th of May 2025 shows BBBS wiring $175,000 to SkyCope C-UAS Technologies in Canada. The payment purpose? Full-system procurement of an anti-drone defense platform. A screenshot of the said SWIFT payment is presented below.

So, how can BBBS claim this was built in India? We have more evidences of transactions between ApolloShield AS and Big Bang Boom, NovaSky and Big Bang Boom, and other 3rd party companies that are being used as shell corporations to route payment and goods safely. This evidence has been shared with PMO (Prime Minister’s Office), Defense Minister’s desk, MoD officials, and officials from Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Now we are presenting this to public view.

Subsequently, BBBS releases a video claiming they indigenously developed the technology, with idiotic speeches, fabricated production facilities, and a completely irrelevant religious appeal in the video with people offering prayers. A classic example of how easy it is to manipulate public opinion and play with sentiments, emotions and topics that are core to this nation’s foundation, but yet entirely distracting the audience and hiding the truth. Well, we don’t fall for such scams.

Even more critical: BBBS does not possess a valid Defense Industrial License (DIL). Despite this, the Indian Air Force has received this unlicensed system.

Questions that demand answers:

  • Who allowed procurement from an unlicensed entity who is waiting for the DIL to be issued at the time of delivery?
  • Where was MoD oversight during this transaction?
  • What due diligence — if any — was performed by IAF?
  • What does DDP MOD have to say about this?

3. A Shipload of Jammers from China

Supporting the evidence trail are customs documents and import invoices showing that BBBS imported a large batch of handheld jammers from Novasky (China), weighing over 150 kg, to their facility in Chennai. Evidence is presented below in the form of a screenshot of the invoice paid to the shipping company, Transys Global, who routinely transport goods between Chinese companies and Big Bang Boom Solutions Pvt Ltd.

And yet, they continue to parade these devices in patriotic videos as “made in India”. 17 handheld jammer guns directly imported from China being sold to the armed forces in India, and everyone is made to believe this is the best indigenous technology. Our sources have shared evidence of few dozen more recent import of handheld jammer guns directly from Novasky, with modified design and formfactor. As always, we have evidences of the same in the form of WhatsApp chat messages, invoices and other documents and it has been presented to relevant authorities.

If BBBS claims that these shipments did not have jammers, what else were being shipped for 150 KG from Novasky’s production facility in Changsha, China? Whatever they will claim, we have more screenshots, pictures of actual photographs from the customs officer who stopped the shipment, but was later bribed in order to release the shipment, invoices, bank transfer records, and even more.

This isn’t just deceptive marketing — it’s national security being compromised in the name of optics, for the sake of profit.

4. Corruption, Cronyism, and the Ghosts of Bofors

India’s defense procurement has always been vulnerable to lobbying from Russian, American and Israeli companies:

  • The Bofors scandal
  • The BEL IACCS scam (ref 1ref 2)
  • DRDO lobbying: This is worth a separate investigation topic. There is just so many of interesting details to uncover and share.

iDEX was supposed to change this. iDEX was supposed to facilitate indigenous technology development and stop the sale of foreign black-box technology from being sold to Indian Armed forces. But BBBS is now using iDEX as a new-age gateway to do old-school lobbying, cutting corners and side-stepping competition from real Indian innovators. For how long are the taxpayers going to allow this to continue to happen?

5. A Web of Influence: Bribes, Retired Officers, and Leaked Secrets

Insider reports and evidence submitted to the Intelligence Bureau and NSA reveal a damning list of unethical activities:

  • Mr. Balasubramanium, Project Manager from Big Bang Boom Solutions, Traveled to China to meet Novasky in China.
  • Mr. Balasubramanium and Mr. Gaurav Sharma from Big Bang Boom Solutions offered gold coins to officials from Army, Air Force, DGQA, DGAQA, CVRDE, and iDEX.
  • The duo also shared equity and gifts in kind with relatives of officers on various occasions
  • Involvement of Retd. Wg Cdr. RajaGp. Capt. DasAVM George Thomas, Gp. Capt. Subramanium, etc. — Is there a trend of South Indian officers from Army and Air Force being exploited by BBBS for the sake of lobbying and corruption?
  • Lobbying support from PMO Suraj officials and iDEX’s Vivek Virmani
  • Mr. Vidit, the son of retd. Maj. Gen. Vikrant is working as a project manager in Big Bang Boom Solutions. As per internal sources, he is neither qualified to be a PM, nor does any of the jobs a PM is supposed to do. He is being paid a lumpsum salary (way more than what qualified PMs in the team are being paid) which in return goes to Maj. Gen. Vikrant. And in return, Maj. Gen. Vikrant is helping the company in kind by sharing names and contact details of serving generals and brigadiers, who most often are decisionmakers.
  • Mr. Varun, another Project Manager in Big Bang Boom, is the brother of a serving officer in the Indian Navy, posted as Defense Attache to one of the African countries. Coincidentally, this is the same African country from where BBBS enjoys a lot of defense contracts, and a lot of traction.

This isn’t entrepreneurship. This is influence peddling at the highest levels of national security. Big Bang Boom is now effectively competing with BEL, HAL, Lockheed Martin, General Atomics, Zen Technologies, Astra Microwave, and the likes of other big corporates — not in building products, but the competition is in terms of lobbying capacity, influencing MoD decisions, and networking capabilities.

6. The Truth Behind the Trials: Rigged ATP/PDI for Vajra Sentinel

During a recent ATP/PDI trial conducted jointly by Indian Army and Indian Air Force, 29 officers were delegated to evaluate BBBS’s Vajra Sentinel system. Only Maj. Rishi reported the truth to Army HQ in a formal written format:

  • 70% of the system parameters failed
  • The system could not switch on for the first 2 days
  • On Day 3, suddenly partial success — after Israeli partner ApolloShield remotely flashed new software overnight

WhatsApp messages between Dr. Shivaraman and Mr. Gilad from ApolloShield show Dr. Shivaraman pleading to and begging Mr. Gilad “just meet ATP conditions,” even sharing the full test parameters in violation of every ethical and operational code. Still, no retrial was requested by the armed forces. No investigation was ordered. No accountability. PMO SURAJ officers showing their loyalty to BBBS perhaps?

The rest of the officers neither shared any concerns regarding the failure of the parameters, nor raised a red flag to their higher officials. They simply, blindfoldedly signed the compliance report. On one occasion towards the end of the trial, Mr. Praveen Dwarakanath had a private word with Maj. Rishi and offered him a bribe in order to pass the compliance. Full respect to Maj. Rishi, he not only declined the offer, but also reported the incident to Army HQ. Subsequently, through influence from Maj. Gen. Vikrant, a phone call was made from the office of DG AAD to Maj. Rishi asking him to sign the compliance form without further trouble. Our sources have recorded this conversation as well, and chatter amongst the team members have also been captured as evidence, and presented to relevant authorities.

7. Fraudulent Certifications and Rubber-Stamped Approvals

EMI/EMC tests for the Vajra Sentinel were done at HCL Chennai and TASL Bangalore. Insiders from HCL, TASL and BBBS confirmed:

  • The system repeatedly failed MIL-STD benchmarks
  • Test parameters and results were manipulated — e.g., thermal stress tests conducted without the jammer being powered on
  • Despite this, DGAQA approved the system, facilitated by Mr. Prakash. We have evidence to prove that Mr. Prakash also received a lumpsum from Big Bang Boom with several meetings between him and Mr. Balsubramanium.

8. A Message to the General Public

Following the initial exposé, there was brief public outrage. But how is it that a company can post a few flashy videos and regain public trust overnight? Is that all it takes?

Are we, as a public, so easily distracted by cinematics that we’ve forgotten to think critically? If the Indian defense sector becomes just a corridor for foreign tech repackaged under “Make in India”, what future do we have as a self-reliant nation? Before you share, like, comment and endorse any product, find ways to validate the legitimacy of the product claims. People like Dr. Shivaraman and Mr. Praveen Dwarakanath are way too smart and have somehow managed to fool all of you in this nation this far. It is your choice if you want them to continue to treat you like idiots.

9. A Message to Corrupt Officers in the Armed Forces

To those in uniform facilitating and participating in this:

What happened to “Naam, Namak, aur Nishan”?

The uniform you wear was earned through sacrifice — of yourself, your peers, and your forebears. When you:

  • Accept gold coins
  • Accept stakes in companies in your family’s name
  • Leak RFPs and strategic requirements
  • Look the other way during rigged trials…

…you are not just breaking rules — you are betraying a nation. You’re breaking the trust your fellow officers have on you. You’re projecting a negative image to the public. You are demotivating the next generation.

Say no to the gold coins. Say no to the gifts. Say no to the hush money through Hawala schemes. Say no to the shares. You are staining the uniform that others wear with pride.

You can do better. Stop!

We have exercised a lot of restraint in sharing details about officers from the armed forces, purely out of respect to the organization that is your employer. If this continues, in our next article, we will reveal names of the officers, screenshots of their conversations with BBBS employees, and other forms of evidences which would bring shame to you, and the organization. Please do not make us go that far. Next time you receive a friendly phone call, message or a meeting request asking for information, you have the right to deny. If not, you’ll find your name published, with screenshots of the conversation made available to the public as audience.

Final Word: A Mirage of Indigenization

This is not a one-off scandal. This is systemic rot. BBBS is merely the symptom of a larger disease:

  • A broken system of incentives
  • A compromised ecosystem of evaluation
  • A PR-heavy, scrutiny-light defense procurement structure

If India truly wants to be Atmanirbhar, it must first become:

  • Transparent in process
  • Honest in outcomes
  • Fearless in questioning

The future of Indian defense demands truth. Let this be the beginning of that reckoning. We request kind attention and intervention from officials within the PMO and Defense Minister’s office.

To the investors of Big Bang Boom Solutions — you are the biggest fools in this entire saga. You’ve poured millions into a company built on deceit, imports masked as innovation, and hollow promises dressed in nationalistic jargon. You fancy yourselves as visionaries backing Indian defense, but what you’re truly funding is a theatre of corruption and foreign dependency. While sincere Indian startups struggle for grants and contracts, your money is enabling a fraud factory that buys tech from China and Israel and stamps it “Made in India” for show. If this is your idea of patriotism or business acumen, then you’re not just complicit — you’re embarrassingly gullible. Perhaps next time, do some actual due diligence before throwing your capital behind a circus act.

A Note of Gratitude to the Silent Patriots

Despite all the corruption, lobbying, and deception that have seeped into the defense procurement process, what continues to motivate us is the knowledge that not everyone has sold out.

We are deeply grateful to those honest and courageous individuals within organisations like Big Bang Boom Solutions Pvt. Ltd. who have chosen integrity over incentives — those who were raised with values, who place self-respect above ESOPs, and who choose country over comfort.

These individuals are not motivated by credit, fame, or recognition. They do not seek publicity. They are unafraid of losing jobs or privileges. What drives them is something more powerful — a relentless commitment to doing what is right, and a deep love for this nation we all call home.

To these silent heroes, we owe our thanks. Without your support, your evidence, and your unwavering sense of duty, none of this truth would see the light of day.

Let this be known: we do not publish random allegations. We speak only when we have verified, hard evidence in hand. Today, we’ve shared some of that evidence — with the public, the taxpayers, and the investors.

We had already shared these evidences with the appropriate authorities long before this article. And while we recognize the rot, we still believe in the system. We trust the judiciary, and we respect the rule of law.

To Our Readers: Thank You — Now Help Us Spread the Truth

If you’ve made it this far, thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to read, reflect, and question. That alone sets you apart.

The truth rarely comes with marketing budgets.
It doesn’t have PR agencies or promotional videos.
But it does have you — the reader, the citizen, the taxpayer.

If a company like Big Bang Boom Solutions can flood the internet with glossy videos, sponsored posts, and manufactured narratives — then surely, truth deserves to be shared even louder.

We ask just one thing:
Share this article. Post it on your social media. Forward it in your groups. Email it to those who matter. Not for us — but for everyone who still believes in accountability, honesty, and real patriotism. Truth needs to be told.

Because if this truth doesn’t travel, then what hope do we have against the next lie?

Speak up. Share. Question. Repeat.

This is not the end. Our work will continue. This is not a smear campaign against one single company. This is not media war. We are determined to systematically dismantle the “Fake in India” defense companies and expose their activities. One at a time. There are so many other companies lined up in our list.

Thank you, once again.
Until next time.

P.S.: In the next article, we will share glimpses of how BBBS is going to fool the authorities and general public once again by showing collaboration with an Indian company called RFME who is only now starting to work on indigenous design of the handheld jammer gun. If BBBS has already built a handheld jammer gun and sold it to multiple customers, including Kenyan authorities, Indian Army and IPL, why are they giving a design contract to RFME?
